RANT: Cilantro.
written on Wednesday, Jun. 04, 2003

I really, really dislike cilantro. My mom loves it, but I really can't stand it. Blech.

So I go with my friend to E&O Trading Co. yesterday for lunch. It's pricy, but really f-ing tasty. We had the corn fritters, I had a chocolate shake and the clay pot chicken, and we split a "banana spring roll" for dessert.

That clay pot chicken is about the tastiest thing in the world. I'm a big stickler about fat on meat (oh baby?), and the chicken here was a little fatty, but it is OH SO GOOD.

The only problem with the clay pot chicken this time was there was a bunch of really fresh cilantro on top of it. I was able to scrape most of it off without ruining the flavor, but it left an aftertaste in my mouth. I kept tasting the cilantro until last night, and I even tasted it a little bit this morning. WTF.

Oh yeah, and with that much food consumed, you'd better believe I had a good five hour food coma, followed by no dinner. That was a lot of food.
