MOVIE REVIEW: Confidence
written on Friday, May. 16, 2003

OK, so my guy and I see two previews at one time or another. They are both "job"-type crime movies, one of my favorite genres. One movie is The Italian Job, which comes out soonish.

Confidence came out much earlier than that, so we went to check it out about two weekends ago. The Italian Job looked pretty damned cool, and Confidence looked promising. Both boast big star names.

I would totally not recommend this movie. It has an interesting concept, but the plot is kind of boring and even slightly predictable. It had a couple of funny moments, but blah. The acting was surprisingly terrible. My cat could have acted more convincingly.

And for all you Andy Garcia fans, he looks pretty craptastic in this movie, although his acting was probably the least bad. Notice I didn't say "best".

Needless to say, I am expecting greater things from The Italian Job.
